One of the things I'm still getting used to is how far a small watch brand from Esbjerg can go.
When I started Borgvardt, it was with a pretty simple idea: to create watches that I wanted to wear myself. Not to hit a trend or follow a certain direction, but to find the right balance between proportions, materials and expression. The fact that today it has found its way to customers far beyond Denmark is not something I take for granted.
The US in particular has become a market I've developed a close relationship with. There is a clear interest in mechanical watches, but also an understanding of the work that goes into it. For the process. For the details. It's something I can really feel.
That's why I've decided to make it a little easier.

It doesn't change the watch itself - or the way it's made. Each watch is still assembled, checked and prepared here in Esbjerg before it is sent on its way. But when it leaves the workshop, it must be as easy as possible to get it out.
Distance shouldn't be the deciding factor when choosing a watch or not.
I know it's still a small brand. And maybe that's why it means something every time a watch finds its way to a new wrist - whether it's in Denmark or on the other side of the Atlantic.
