The new 1970 Sport – Limited Edition is a modern interpretation of our popular 1970 Sport, but elevated to a whole new level. The watch is equipped with a specially selected mechanical skeleton movement, which opens up the front and reveals the entire living mechanism behind every tick. The iconic retro-sporty design has been retained, but now with a visual depth that makes the watch something truly special.
With a robust 42 mm case, sporty rubber strap, and a striking combination of brushed and polished surfaces, this Limited Edition has a look that is both technical, raw, and refined at the same time. The transparency of the movement offers a whole new way to experience the watch – you can see time being made.

Our products come with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Please note that the warranty does not cover battery life or normal wear and tear on the watch case and strap. The warranty does not cover damage to any part of the watch caused by abnormal use, lack of care, negligence, accidents, misuse of the watch, or failure to follow the instructions provided by Borgvardt Ure. The warranty for our bracelets is 2 years from the date of purchase and only covers bracelets with discoloration.

The familiar 1970 Sport design is elevated with a mechanical skeleton movement, where the front is opened up so you can see all the mechanics at work. It's a balance between respecting the sporty look of the 70s and my fascination with visible mechanics.
Limited Edition
At the heart of the watch is the Japanese Miyota 8N24 - an automatic mechanical movement from the Citizen group. Developed for skeleton designs where the mechanics can be experienced in motion. The balance wheel, rotor and gears visibly work together to create a living dial. With 21 jewels and 42 hours of power reserve, the movement delivers stable precision every day.
