The integrated tachymeter scale is a classic detail from the golden age of motorsport. It allows you to measure speed over a known distance using the chronograph, but is just as much a visual reference to the sports chronographs of the 60s and 70s. A feature that serves both a purpose and tells a story.
1972 Chronodate
Uret drives af Seiko VK64, et hybrid-kronografværk fra Seiko, valgt for sin balance mellem følelse og funktion. Selvom værket er quartz-drevet, er kronografen mekanisk aktiveret, hvilket giver et kontant klik og øjeblikkelig respons ved start, stop og reset – uden den typiske quartz-forsinkelse.
The VK64 combines high precision, stable operation, and low maintenance with an experience reminiscent of classic mechanical chronographs. The vertical coupling ensures that the chronograph can run without affecting timekeeping, making the watch suitable for everyday use.
The 1970s Returns
Chronodate 1972 was born out of a fascination for a special time. The early 70s, when chronograph watches became part of a lifestyle.
It was an era of motorsport, mechanics and people living closer to the present. The design of the Chronodate 1972 draws directly from this period. From the classic tachymeter scale to the balanced subdials and the classic tone of the dial. An expression that feels both raw and refined at the same time.
